This construction was a final element in formation of fine ensemble of Registan square. A plan of architect at construction of madrasah consisted in achievement of integrity and unity of all constructions of Registan Tillya-Kari architecture of Tillya-Kari in the best manner corresponds to other constructions of area, and its facade is stretched in such way that visually there made an impression of closed space. Main facade of madrasah consists of two floors, remarkably counterbalances such big constructions, such as Shir-Dor madrasah and Ulugbek madrasah.
In the main portal which is turned into area, there is a pentahedral niche. Two entrances of this niche bring to a yard of rather big size and closed. Symmetric composition in a yard is made by small portals located on centers of yard facades. And on the western facade that is located to the left of entrance there is a big mosque. It is possible to get to central hall of this mosque through main entrance in portal niche. Directly opposite to entrance there is revetted with marble – mikhrab. Near it there is niche pointing to Mecca, and to the right of mikhrab there is mimbar– a place for preacher. Yard of mosque Tillya-Kari is also a place for carrying out Friday church services.
Interior of mosque is formed by painting kundal. It is polichromatic equipment with relief ornament and gilded inscription. Central hall of mosque looks magnificently and richly. Such richness in decoration of the building is gilding and determined named of the madrasah «Covered with gold» – here that in translation means Tillya-Kari.
