In Samarkand Art gallery there is presented collection of works of arts which makes about four thousand units. These are fine samples of graphics, painting, stamping and sculpture, both the and present centuries. Here it is possible to see works of well-known artists in which life of the people of the Central Asian region is displayed. 

In gallery there are works of Russian notorious artists which cloths display history of people of Central Asia. They are works of artists such as V. V. Vereschagin, S. M. Dudin, A.Nikolaev (Usto Mumin), L.L.Bure, G. N. Nikitin, R.K.Zommer and N. N. Karazin. 

Creativity of artist realist - V. V. Vereschagin is presented in gallery of his family by pictures: «A palace of emir in Samarkand», «Mirza-bek – envoy of Bukhara emir», «Mullah in school», «Steppe hunters», «Singer with dutars», «Native Jew» and «Steppe landscape».

The image of Muslim ascetic at the beginning of the twentieth century is represented by ethnographic S. M. Dudin's picture "Dervish".

Traditions of the East, Old Russian painting and Italian Renaissance intertwined in sign work of art of A.Nikolaev (Usto Mumin). It is a picture «A boy with a quail».

Creativity of artist L.L.Storm is presented in gallery by pictures, their about four hundred in which architectural monuments of Samarkand and Bukhara, inhabited quarters and ethnographic sketches have been embodied. 

In gallery there are works of Uzbek school of artists in the twentieth century. These are works of R. Charyev, A.D.Kalonov, A.Isayev, B. Dzhalalov, R. Akhmedov pictures, N.Kovalevsky and P.P.Benkov.
